Sustainable Production Systems - Empowering the next generation of technicians for greener technology
The project entitled “Sustainable Production Systems – Empowering the next generation of technicians for greener technology” supports the organization of
bilateral training for master’s students and Ph.D. students from the Technical University of Košice (TUKE), Graz University of Technology (TUG), and Pro2Future
(P2F), a research center located in Upper Austria. The training will be primarily aimed at improving professional knowledge and skills in the field of “soft skills” for industrial and production engineering. Students are completing this training to understand the methods, techniques, benefits, and prerequisites of digitalization in all relevant production branches by the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0 concept). After completing the course, the students will be able to understand the upcoming digital transformation and will act as “digital agents” when they change to industries. For that, all technologies for improving processes, working environment, and safety and health protection will be elaborated in detail.
- The goal is, to strengthen the future industries in Austria and Slovak by offering a beyond-state-of-the-art education at the university level executed by
outstanding experts and researchers in the field of industry 4.0 and post- digitalization.
- The research team is composed of a wide base of departments related to the task, especially in industrial engineering, automation, modeling, technological
machinery and equipment, informatics, and data processing.
- Our priority is to create a bridge between science and education, to bring advances of research into practice. The most important parts will be to prepare
and hold inspirative lectures/interactive workshops for students as well as prepare a proposal for future collaboration within a funding opportunity.
